We want to learn what happens to sleep quality and cognitive performance when a child is more active throughout the day. This study will ask families to help us compare a day of typical routines and behavior to a day with more physical activity sprinkled throughout the day.

We are excited to serve as a US New England site for the SUNRISE Study! The SUNRISE study is an international study of movement behaviors in the early years with a goal of bringing together researchers from low-, middle-, and high-income countries across the globe. The study aims are to measure physical activity, sedentary behavior and sleep for children under the age of 5 years.

We are collaborating with the Belchertown Public School district to gather information on students' physical activity and movement-related policies, beliefs, and knowledge. This is an important first step in helping them develop a Comprehensive School Physical Activity Plan.
